You know you promised Dave, but… 1. You didn’t take into account that he has other friends that you would also have to tell the story to, which in retrospect was pretty stupid on your part, and 2. The story is honestly humiliating for you, which you didn’t really consider when you promised Dave, since you were more focused on getting a new friend at the time."
