The first thing Winter Spider, 78561, could remember was pain. And blood. He couldn't quite remember whose blood it was. Maybe it was his, maybe not. Perhaps the chair had done it. A tactic Hydra used to brainwash its assassins (Read: Prisoners). Well 2 of its assassins. The Winter Soldier and The Winter Spider. The chair wiped its users memories replacing it with only what was spoken during the session. So perhaps pain and blood was not his first memory. Maybe it was the gunshot. Winter Spider remembered the gun shot but never knew where it stood in his memories. It was important. That's all he knew.

Winter Spider was born in the Red Room, trained in Hydra, he was the perfect assassin. He never failed. Never. But a memory of his mother the day before an infiltration might be the end of his record. A glimpse of red hair, a familiar face, Russian mutters, he froze. -
