“What’s this personal project you’re working on?”
“Well, it’s…” Wheeljack looked back at the mess of wires and metal as he started explaining when he suddenly felt something brush against his door-wings. He jumped at the sudden touch, his finials lighting up in surprise as he glanced over to see Starscream still sitting there but with his arm outstretched, servo where his door-wing had been just a klik before. “Did you just grab me?” He asked in surprise.
“No.” Starscream’s servo shot back down to his side and he stood up, wings tensed and raised high.
“You definitely did.” Wheeljack said, exasperated. Then it clicked. “You’ve been staring at my door-wings!”

Summary
He hadn’t heard anyone enter but suddenly there was someone putting their hands on his shoulders and trying to get his attention. “Starscream!” He blinked his optics and squinted, realizing Wheeljack was standing right in front of him, his face only inches away. There was worry in his optics. “Starscream, are you alright? What happened?” Wheeljack asked again.
“What do you mean?” Starscream frowned, rolling his optics. “I’m fine. Nothing’s happened.”
“You’ve got energon leaking all down your arm!” Wheeljack said, exasperated.

Summary
Wheeljack was worried about Starscream. He'd heard the mech talking to himself on and off for the past few decacycles. And sure, when he had first been woken up from his coma Windblade had warned him about it and he'd caught Starscream talking to himself on more than one occasion, but it was happening more frequently. And the seeker seemed more stressed as each cycle wore on. Wheeljack really didn't mean to eavesdrop, but it was hard not to when he went to check on his sort-of-friend and could hear him shouting at some invisible dead mech from down the hall. Starscream had also been neglecting his appearance. His paint was chipping and his color seemed a bit dull like he hadn't been getting enough fuel and recharge. Sometimes when Wheeljack was talking to him, it almost seemed like the seeker wasn't even looking at him and his optics would flicker between dim and overly bright.
Starscream looked like a dead-mech walking. And Wheeljack was worried that the pressure was beginning to get to him and that everything would come crashing down around him.

Starscream paces further. This holiday truly has just gone sour. All this sentimental nonsense serves no purpose. Just look at them. So many citizens going into a tizzy to get gifts or one-up each other in throwing a grand gesture for those they held dear.
He scowls. It must be so nice to be so simpleminded. To be so certain and secure that they had something real with another.
His wings flick, irritated.
Nobody has reached out to him throughout the entire holiday. Not a message, a comm— anything.
In an attempt to solve some of the issues in the city and create a public relations boost, Starscream founds a new holiday on Cybertron and the colonies. Unfortunately, due to a recording error, the message gets botched, and the holiday turns into some... sentimental mush.
