Summary

He accidentally wanders into a bakery run by his old childhood friend, Phoenix, who hires him as an assistant. As he works under Phoenix, they become close and start to fall in love. But Edgeworth doesn't know if it is right to give into his feelings when he is lying to Phoenix.

Summary
Phoenix is the director at a Los Angeles preschool and when one of his students goes missing in a museum, the police are called. The detective sent is none other than Miles Edgeworth, their first encounter not going well at all.
Phoenix was beside himself while he gave a statement to the first officer to arrive. He hated standing around doing nothing while Rory was still missing. It was then that he noticed a man dressed in a cranberry suit approaching them, a scowl on his face that anyone could see from a mile away.
Phoenix had to admit he was attractive, would be even more so if he was smiling. His tailored suit accentuating his alluring frame, his interesting hairstyle adding to his appeal. When he drew closer, Phoenix mentally whimpered when he could take in his facial features up close. Feeling guilty about internally swooning over the man while one of his charges was missing, Phoenix banished the thought from his mind and focused on the matter at hand.
“I’m Detective Miles Edgeworth,” he said, pulling a notepad and pen out from his messenger bag, “When was the last time you saw the child?”

He is apprehensive at first, worried he’ll end up hurting the guy, but his alpha starts to react positively to this unsual omega, and not just in a therapeutic sense.

“So, what are you suggesting we do?”
“I’ll keep nightwatch.” He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a small whistle, tiny thing. “And once they come back I’ll let ‘em know I’m around and watching.”
Izuku takes a long sip of his steaming tea to maximize his thinking time. “You can stay here if you like”, he offers. “For the night.”

When Izuku Midoriya’s sheep are fatally injured by the pack of wolves living nearby, he decides to call Katsuki Bakugo, the resident forester, and ask for his help. Bakugo somehow sees himself responsible for the animals, and decides to take on the challenge. Over the course of three weeks the two find themselves smitten with each other, learning a lot of new things about themselves, about love. Yet, the end of spring is near, rapidly approaching, which means that Izuku has to move up into the mountains with his herd for a long summer.
