And as she watched the woman—short, stocky and wild—fight to stay mounted, Marina's breathing completely faltered. She made it look utterly effortless; rolling her hips with a practiced ease, one gloved hand curled tight around the bull rope and the other casually holding down her tan hat; as if the eighteen hundred-something pound bovine beast beneath her wasn't fighting to force her off with everything it had.
