Kabru scratched his neck, eying his date. If I say something, he’s going to think I led him on— No, he should be the one to apologize for catfishing!
He swallowed, ready for a confrontation, but what came out wasn't in agreeance with his mind. “Oh, my mistake, then,” he stammered, forcing a sheepish smile. “I’m sorry… I didn’t recognize you at first. I guess I didn’t look closely enough.”

Kabru’s stomach fluttered at that crumb of knowledge, but he forced his hands to remain steady on the remote. He scrolled through the options, careful not to dwell too long on any option as he tried to figure out his next move. “... Did we want to move to the bed?”
