She reads a familiar scrawl, “Adam to God after he’s spoken with Satan. Before you really read Frankenstein, you have to decide who you think is at fault in Paradise Lost, Satan or God?”
Rory closes the book after reading the messy scrawl from the boy that broke her heart.
She’s never described herself as an angry person before, but she can feel a ball of rage in her core, threatening to escape. She shoves the book back into her bag, along with that feeling of white hot anger. Because she’s done. She meant what she said. She is not going to pine.
Rory leans her head against the window.
Unbelievable, she had purposefully only brought books that she knew he didn’t get his hands on. His dirty, grubby, nicotine and pen stained, lovely hands, that knew just the right way to touch her–
Of course he would still find a way to surprise her, even as she’s running away as far as she can from him. No matter if he did it first. She needs to run.

unbeknownst to lorelai, the girl hiding in jess' closet isn't a half-naked girlfriend. it's just rory, fueled by too much caffeine and longing and misplaced righteous anger.
