Robert's low laugh cuts him off, “Oh yeah, what of it?” He leans back, letting the tie slip from his fingers, “You got a problem with that, Big boy?”
Waterboy nearly floods the couch.
“Jesus.” Robert curses.

(Or, Clark thinks Batman has a very nice voice. It's been stuck in his head ever since he accidentally heard him during… sex. There's something about Bruce Wayne's voice that feels strangely familiar.)

Maybe that was why he’d been so distant lately, giving Lighter those cold, scrutinizing looks—like Lighter had failed some kind of test he hadn’t even known he was taking. The uncertainty gnawed at him. It felt impossible to ignore, especially now, when every interaction with Wise felt like it was coated in a tension that felt as though it could ignite at the smallest spark.

Lighter’s hands on his waist twitched. Wise hoped he’s not going to throw him on reflex and dash away despite the locked door.
He didn't want to resort to the ropes he hid underneath his bed.
“So, why do you refuse to hug me directly?”
[Or: Lighter keeps hugging (read: be as physically close as possible) Wise when he’s in Eous form but can’t seem to do so in person.]
