However, such glory did not come without tragedy as the child was cast aside into a thousand year slumber. When they awoke, they found a world whose history had forgotten them, rewritten as the mysterious child of Queen Lumera. And the peace they assured now lay on the brink as Sombron threatened to return.
Alear would step into this new world, only hoping to correct the mistakes of her past. Hoping that one day, she might befit the title of Divine that the people now gave her.

Byleth Eisner remembered a simple life with her parents in the monastery, befriending students and admiring the knights. Though it all fell apart when her brother was born, fleeing as her perfect image of the world began to crack. She'd dedicated her life to protecting Barbas, but when her past catches up to her, she finds herself thrown into the midst of brewing conflict. When blades are drawn, would she be able to choose between family and her ideals?
As time marches onward, the two find their answers. Barbas looks to Alliance so they might bring about the winds of change, while Byleth looks to the Empire to burn the system of old. When their true colors are revealed, will the two be able to reconcile? Or are they doomed to clash?

Leaders have lost hope, now shells of the people they once were. Hardened by their grief, they believe death the only solution. Both sides yearn for the power to destroy their enemy. But when their pleas are answered by the legendary Yato, they find it to be wielded by one born of their enemy. They can only pray the wielder is one who brings about peace and not the destruction foretold in legends.

Life and death. A cyle Byleth cannot escape no matter how many times she rewound the clock. She's tried twice before to stop the war of Fódlan, and yet, the results are always the same. The emperor dies and the ruse of peace rises across the land. Yet the people still suffer. Once again, Byleth is forced to go back and relive the horrid war, but she's sick of the death and destruction it brings. She's steeled herself to prevent such pain, no matter the cost--even if it means allying herself with the monster who would start such a war.
Revision of my original Hands Stained Crimson fic. I'm not completely satisfied with the original result, and as such, I've decided to come back and rewrite all the chapters, both adding and removing quite a bit of content while also straying more away from the original game dialogue.
