Summary
“Hey, Ana,” Eddie clears his throat, “you know Chris, and this is, uh, this is Buck. Buck, meet miss Ana Flores.” Ana directs her thousand-mega-watt smile at him now, and Buck tries not to cringe.
Eddie didn’t introduce Buck as his boyfriend, which, okay, fair, he can’t imagine how awkward it must be for Eddie to run into his ex-girlfriend who doesn’t know he swings both ways at the grocery store, but still. Buck has to pretend that his stomach isn’t tied in knots and slap a fake smile on his face, his mother’s ‘be nice, Evan’ echoing behind his thoughts. Buck takes a deep breath. He’s going to be nice; he can be polite and get out of this as fast as possible.

Summary
Three days before school started, Christopher told Eddie that he’s big enough to use big people knives and after a long phone call with his son’s Occupational Therapist, and another one with his own therapist, they had gone to the store to get him a cutlery set that could allow him more independence while still on the safer side, and Buck had found the perfect one: the knife has a blunt tip and slightly serrated edge, and a plastic handle decorated with tiny green and blue dinosaurs.
“Daddy, don’t forget the dinosaurs, please,” Christopher asks politely, just like every day, because he refuses to eat with any other fork or knife. Luckily the set came with six of each, so everyone can use them during breakfast as Christopher prefers.
“Yeah, and don’t forget the big spoon for the fruit salad,” Buck chips in, pointedly looking at Eddie. Clearly, he still hasn’t let go of the last few times he has forgotten the big spoon for the fruit salad.

Summary
Shrugging, Eddie catches the velcro strap of his glove between his teeth and makes sure his glove is snug. “I can take it.”
“You’re doing this one-armed,” Buck warns. Buck’s also eyeing him up and down.
“I know,” is all Eddie says. “Might be a fair fight for once.”
A grin splits over Buck’s face. Eddie gets a glimpse of his canines, bared and hungry, and Eddie wonders if fists over ribs can feel a little like teeth on his neck.
Or, Eddie Diaz doesn't think pleasure without pain is deserved. He spirals, fractures his hand, and spars with his best friend about it. And maybe gets laid.
Or, the one-handed sparring fic.

Summary
The memories aren’t fully fleshed out, only flashes of places, people, and feelings. Sometimes they’re tangible, so much so he feels like he can reach it within his fingertips and hold them there.
He’d be washing dishes, and he’d feel the phantom arms of Eddie around his waist, the junction of his neck and shoulder feeling warm. For a flash, he’d see a different kitchen than the one he was in. He’d be looking at a menu in a restaurant, and he thinks he’d hear Eddie’s voice asking, ‘You gonna order the usual?’ When he glances down at the table, he’d be surprised he’s not seeing a deep green tablecloth. He’d doze off on the couch and feel his cheek land on Eddie’s chest, arms wrapping around him, and he’d open his eyes to find himself alone.
How do you explain that away? Missing something you can’t fully remember having?

Summary
“Those couldn’t’ve been cheap,” Eddie says. “Do we need to talk about your spending habits?”
Buck lets out a soft huff of laughter. “What are you, the flower police?”
“No, no,” Eddie says, shaking his head, his hair brushing against the side of Buck’s face. “If you wanna spend your hard earned money on fancy ass flowers, I’m not gonna stop you.” He nuzzles into Buck’s neck, his stubble scratching against his skin.
“It’s nice,” he says, his voice muffled. “No one’s ever bought me flowers before.”
Buck copes with unrequited love by maladaptive daydreaming, buying Eddie flowers, and lying to the farmers market vendor about his imaginary husband.

Summary
No matter how much Buck insists it’s not a thing, it is so a thing.
It was a thing before Eddie left for El Paso, it was absolutely a thing the entire time he was gone—seriously? Four FaceTime calls in the first six hours of a shift, is he blind?—and through the whole Bobby’s dead-wait no Bobby’s alive? it had definitely been The Thing behind the thing.
So, sighing, and setting down the admittedly delicious grilled cheese Buck made, Ravi does something reckless.
Maybe a little dangerous.
But, actually, the tagline should read more like: selfless.
“I have an apartment,” He says to Buck, looking at him, and shrugging a shoulder. “I’ll ignore your credit and you can move in right after shift.”

Summary
Buck has never really been a religious type, but if something was going to make him a believer, it would probably be Eddie.
