He had about an hour left until closing when the man came in. He was tall, but with how wide his eyes were, almost like a doe’s, and how he clutched his hands in front of himself and wrung them, he made himself look much smaller.
“‘Scuse me, uh, do you have any rope?” The man asked, and before Viktor could wordlessly point to the shelf in the back that held their stock, he added in a sudden rush, practically hollering– “Ineeditforamagictrick!”
“I’m sorry, what?”

The strangest object of all, however, was the long pillow that was resting on a plush chair in the corner of the room. It seemed to depict Viktor splayed out on white bedsheets, and when Viktor, incensed, moved for that object first, Jayce positively screamed.
