“Hey… can you talk?” He got a face full of sea water this time. He probably shouldn’t have asked. Laughing again, (Jisung decided that it’s the most beautiful sound he’s ever heard, aside from his mother’s singing) the fish answered.
“I most certainly can. Thank you for saving me from that glass jar. I’m Seungmin!” Seungmin grinned at Jisung, baring his little teeth glistening in the sunlight.
“Oh, that’s so cool! Hi Seungmin, I’m Jisung!” He held out his hand for an embarrassing 2 seconds before realising how dumb he must look but he didn’t mind. It made Seungmin laugh again.
From that day on, they’ve become inseparable.

The two of them keep talking, quieter than before. Hyunjin’s mind is whirring at a hundred miles per hour. He’s playing back every interaction he’s seen between the two recently, trying to figure out when exactly Minho had gone from threatening to poke Seungmin’s eyes out with used chopsticks to sharing a bed with him of his own free will.
