Felix is conflicted about being here, with this pack, with these . . . he can’t say it out loud because he thinks he’ll die. Vampires. Vampire he thinks, real beings, real people. Real people that decided he was just good enough to steal, to keep as their own. He isn’t sure whether or not he should credit them with saving his life: is this a life he wants to live? Being kept indoors, babied and coddled, being fed in ways he never could have imagined?

At first, it had been hilarious to see Nie Mingjue trudging inside the cafe with such furious steps Lan Xichen was surprised the table didn’t shake in tandem with the man’s stomps. It would certainly have looked terrifying if it hadn’t been for the huge man’s hair sparkling as if it had been dipped into glitter, then lacquered into an elaborate high ponytail that majestically swayed left and right with every small movement.
“Nie Huaisang kept bothering me," he said with an eyeroll, "Saying that appearances and impressions matter. He literally smacked me with his fans until I agreed to go to a hairstylist by the name of Sweet Hair Lotus!”
Or: Lan Xichen goes to the new hairstylist in town. He comes out a changed man.

Summary
The Alpha, still focused on his phone, moved, brushing his hand with Felix’s, and before he knew what was happening, the Alpha had laced their fingers together, holding his hand in a warm, tight grip.
Freezing, Felix stared at the side profile of the Alpha, who was still frowning down at his phone.
There was a gasp behind him and he turned, meeting beautiful dark eyes staring at him in shock and suspicion, before the Beta’s expression turned into a grin, probably as a reaction to Felix’s shocked face.
Then the Beta started laughing.“Sungie.” The Alpha right beside him said, tugging at his hand, as if calming him down, which only made the Beta laugh even harder, now standing at the foot of the escalator, staring up at them with glee.
“Channie-hyung, are you trying to kidnap that poor guy?”
“What-” The Alpha started, clearly exasperated as he looked into Felix’s face, meeting his eyes and then stopping dead in his tracks.

Or: Felix just tries to go to work when a gorgeous Alpha grabs his hand. Things snowball from there.
