Summary
“I was expecting a girl,” the guy said in a soft and curious voice, his eyes blinking at Riku as if he’d never seen anyone like him.
“Are you disappointed?” Riku asked. He remained by the door, allowing the guy to take the sight of him in. There had been many like him before—never seen boys in skirts but disastrously afflicted by lust at the discovery of them.
The guy averted his gaze. “No—no, not at all.”
Riku leaned against the wall, letting the hem of his skirt ride up his thigh. “What’s your name?”
“Daeyoung,” he answered with delay, his eyes flickering between Riku’s face and somewhere else—somewhere lower. “Yours?”
“If you kiss me, I’ll tell you.”
Riku's job was thankless and grueling. Some nights he just wanted a little care. And Daeyoung was so gentle, so unpredictable.

Summary
“You think I’m beautiful?” Riku asked.
Daeyoung flushed, and only then did Riku take notice of his mild pallor, the way it made for a perfect canvas. Slight freckles bloomed there like young wildflowers in thawed winter dirt.
“Would it be a crime to say yes?”
For the wounded and reclusive poet Maeda Riku, the days are turning darker. Enter florist Kim Daeyoung and the mending language of his flowers.

Wanted to suffocate the monster in his heart, wanted to set it free. The one thing he didn’t want, though, was for all of this to lead him past a point of no return. He didn’t want to drift so far away that Daeyoung became a stranger.
Riku finds out the hard way that junior year becomes much more complicated when 'being in love with your best friend' gets thrown into the mix.
