“i was just making you jealous with words. i only said words.” yoonchae says, looking straight into megan’s huge, glossy eyes. “i said words. you literally humped lara on stage in front of forty thousand people.”
“it was just choreo– we didn’t mean– lara’s literally my sister, you know that–”“yoonchae,” megan whispers, leaning in close. “zig studio afterparty. please come with me? i’m sorry, baby. you don’t have to dance, just come.”
“i’m going back to the hotel with sophia and dani.” yoonchae says clearly. “go with lara. you guys grind so well together anyway.”Series

Summary
in korean, she could explain the exact flavor of this anger. she could explain how it feels like being hungry and watching someone throw good food in the trash. she could explain that it’s not about the boy, it’s about the sun. that boy got to have megan when the sky was blue and nobody was taking notes on their body language.
with yoonchae, it’s always dark. it’s always whispers against a pillow, or megan pulling her hand away the second a door opens.

Summary
she cries about megan. yoonchae had pulled the pillow over her face and cried angry, hot tears into the cotton because she just didn’t know what to say. she didn't have the words. her english was never fast enough, never smooth enough to match megan’s endless rambling.
megan could sleep in yoonchae’s arms until 6 am, wake up, kiss her on the cheek, and then walk into rehearsal looking completely normal while yoonchae spent the next eight hours barely able to breathe every time their hands brushed. it felt so unfair. megan had all the control, all the ease, while yoonchae was drowning in every single touch, terrified that she was taking all of this a hundred times more seriously than megan ever would.

Summary
because that is the problem.
if she writes it down, it becomes real.
right now, everything is still floating around in her head. it can be a misunderstanding. a weird feeling. something she imagined because she was tired. something she will wake up tomorrow and laugh about.
she doesn't know what scares her more, writing it down or realizing that she doesn't actually want to forget it.
megan. i don't know.
