Summary
Leon waves it off, embarrassed. "Nothing's wrong, it's just—Sherry was twelve, you know. Not..." he trails away. The words are lost on his tongue. Chris understands it and helpfully supplies, "One?"
"Yeah. One," Leon nods, lips pressed into a line. "So...I don't have any experience with babies, Chris. Just near-teenagers."
Chris thinks on it, eyes on him. Mulling it over, and part of Leon prays that he'll decide there's someone else more capable of handling this than him and send him packing.
"Good enough," shrugs Chris and all Leon’s hopes are promptly tossed out of a window.
Or,
A few days after the events in Romania, Chris Redfield is saddled with the responsibility of taking care of a young Rosemary Winters. Leon finds himself pulled into it.

Summary
A hand wraps around his throat before he can react. Matilda slips past his fingers, clattering against the ground from the impact. Too far away from Leon. He scrambles to grab it, and it proves to be a mistake. Krauser slams him into the ground, splinters stabbing into Leon’s skin and the uneven, rocky terrain digs into his back harshly.
Sharp laughter echoes in his ears, rough and cruel. Leon whirls his head, glaring up at Krauser who has an infuriatingly triumphant smile across his face, like he’s bested Leon entirely.
He writhes. Krauser shoves his head into the rock and leaves him seeing stars.
”Lying down like a mutt already?”
Or,
Leon makes his final confrontation against Krauser. One stray thought, one mistake leads to a couple of broken bones and eventually, surrender.
Some twisted form of it, anyways.

Summary
One of the shadows is particularly resilient, which is somewhat odd for this floor, but nothing out of the ordinary. Yu cuts it down with his katana effortlessly.
But not before it hits him with some strange status ailment.
At first, Yosuke thinks it was exhaustion or fear or even lust, but then he looks up and watches Yu turn around.
Yosuke thinks, for a moment, that his heart has stopped.
Yu is a girl.
Or,
After a shadow hits him with some sort of status ailment, Yu turns into a girl right in front of Yosuke. This changes a lot of things.
They take advantage of it.

"Is this real?" he asks.
Ryoji looks up at the same ceiling Makoto was so busy staring at, as if searching for an answer in the infinite void of nothingness. It looks like he finds it.
"I don't think so," Death answers.
"Oh."
A pang of disappointment washes over Makoto. That kind of sucks. He wouldn't have minded staying in some sort of limbo with Ryoji forever. It doesn't sound half bad, actually.
