Tommy stared for a moment, before scoffing, “Yeah, sure. We’ll see about that in two weeks when you come pick me up again to send me to another shitty house,” He scowled, focussing his attention back on the road ahead, “and what kind of name is Phil anyway? I bet he’s like- 60. Prickhead.”
“Tommy.” Sam only shook his head, sighing. “At least… try to make a good impression, alright? We’re almost there.”

quackity playfully rolled his eyes but he continued. “ yes. and she- well, she’s very pretty.. like stupid pretty. and she has a really good voice. when she smiles it makes my chest tighten. i just- fuck man, i wanna kiss her sometimes when i see her. “ quackity sighed, it felt like he’d lifted a weight off his chest.
wilbur blinked in surprise, but nonetheless she nodded. “ so.. you really like her, then what’s the problem? is she taken or something? “
“ no, she’s not. but she’s too good for me. she is so out of my league. “ quackity scratched the small patch of facial hair growing on his chin. then he felt wilbur’s hand on his cheek.
“ that’s not true. quackity, you gotta value yourself too. sure, she’s probably the prettiest you’ve ever seen but so are you! you’re equally as attractive as she is. don’t doubt yourself; we’re still young! the worst she could say is no, and even if she does reject you, so what? it will probably sting, and hurt.. but at least you gave it a shot. “ wilbur brushed quackity’s cheek, then she leaned in and kissed him on the cheek. which would probably stain his cheek with whatever lip gloss or lipstick she was wearing, but quackity’s face went red anyway.

Quackity smiles sourly. "You're wearing one of the ugliest sweaters I have ever seen."
Wilbur hums lowly, tilting his chin up and grinning. "Don't you have work to do, Quackity?"
It's stupidly cocky and Quackity finds himself trying not to repeat the way Wilbur dragged out his name over and over in his mind as he glares at him, a tight and fake smile spread across his face as he crosses his arms.
"I get paid by the hour, I'm fine," He says snappishly, earning a disproving click of Wilbur's tongue.
Or, Quackity works at a grocery store, Wilbur works at the coffee shop inside of it.
