“Tell me something good,” Mello says, expression bright with desperation.
“Something good,” Near echoes, at a loss.
Mello taps his fingers on the side of his cup, impatient. “Yeah. It doesn’t have to be big, just— something good that’s happened since— since.”
This Mello is new and strange to him, unnerving. Near had not heard from or seen him since the end of the investigation, and then, last week, he emailed out of the blue and told Near to meet him in a diner in rural Pennsylvania at five in the morning on a Wednesday, and now he is demanding that Near tell him something good.

It's not that you have a problem with the body you live in. It's a perfectly serviceable body. Its metabolism is a little too fast for your convenience, but it's decently strong and agile and that's all that matters.
