Peter could only watch as Iron Man tried to take on Thanos, but he knew that the only way the Avengers even had a chance was if Tony Stark survived. Peter knows he has a part to play in all of this, even if it means he doesn't get to see the end.

What if Tony didn't get the chance to be stabbed on Titan? What if someone else had taken the blade?

I just couldn’t get the idea of Steve staying in Hawkins as a watcher in case shit goes down again out of my head. So here we are. Because when you get used to shit coming back again and again and again, what else are you supposed to expect?

Steve promised he’d keep these kids safe, so that’s what he’s going to do. After all, he’s a damn good babysitter. Even in creepy Upside Down tunnels that are collapsing more by the minute.
