Mel looked between them, baffled. “Are you playing house with Zaddy Night Shift?” Trinity said, glee breaking across her face.
“Who is Zaddy Night Shift?” Mel asked, at least two decibels louder than the entire previous conversation. Princess started walking over. Samira put her face in her hands. “I am Zaddy Night Shift,” Dr. Ellis said, breezing by. “And I don’t play house. I provide a loving home for the right woman.”
“My heart belongs to another, king.” Trinity said absently. Mel looked at her in confusion. “Not you, Melancholy.”
“I do not understand what’s happening.” Mel announced cheerfully.

Samira laughs. "My mother would say you are a knight with no lands, no title of significance, and no political value. A waste of time for me to be even conversing with."
