Summary
When he finally made it to the roof, there was only one person there - a woman, standing in the water at the far end of the pool, looking out at the Singaporean skyline. A woman looking oddly familiar.
It couldn’t be? Could it? After a handful of strokes, Anthony was only a few feet away and when she finally turned around to look at him, he almost let out a loud laugh.
There she was, the woman from the café.

Elizabeth Bennet, 18, has never much worried about that since her parents are decidedly not soul bonded. Besides, she has other things to worry about. Her daemon, Adesius, has yet to settle even though it is far past the time most do in England. Jane has had to remind Elizabeth that everyone is different and there has never been a set time for it to happen. However, after the awkward interactions with Bingley’s sisters and the staid Mr. Darcy in Meryton, Elizabeth feels even more embarrassed by her constantly changing daemon. To make matters worse, She has gone off to visit her recently married friend in Kent where, of course, she runs into the impossible man. Worse still, when Adesius finally settles, he does it in a way that is strikingly linked to Darcy’s. Elizabeth hardly knows what to think.

He is filthy rich and while some of it is inherited as trusts he has actually earned most of his money through both his chambers in London and guest lecturing at many of the world’s top universities.
If that’s all he was, if that were his entire identity, then Anthony would be satisfied. But it’s not. Because in addition to being rich, and underappreciated, and landed gentry, Anthony is also a grimalkin and a pretty needy one at that.
