Summary
Geralt goes along with Jaskier to meet some of his Oxenfurt friends, and comes to realize he isn't the only one Jaskier gets touchy-feely with or calls "dear heart".
The realization that those gestures don't mean what he thought they did-- that he seemingly doesn't mean as much to Jaskier as he thought-- leaves him a pained, pining mess.

Summary
After Jaskier starts travelling with him, the words Geralt hears to describe him become kinder, and he hears himself referred to as the white wolf, more than the butcher.
The same cannot be said for Jaskier. When at first it was lovely, pretty, songbird, now the words to describe the bard are of an entirely different nature.---000---
During their first summer on the path Geralt hears Jaskier referred to as loud, obnoxious, and once - rather unkindly- as a chatty little bitch. Which Geralt finds he can somewhat understand, especially in those moments where he needs just a little peace and quiet. It’s mostly when he finishes the more difficult hunts, potions still raging through his bloodstream, his senses just a bit too sharp for comfort. Jaskier’s voice isn’t grating, it’s rather lovely, in fact. But in those moments, Geralt just wants to growl at him and tell him to be quiet.
He never calls the bard a chatty little bitch though.

Summary
Two weeks into traveling with Geralt, Jaskier wakes with a horrifically familiar ache in his lower abdomen and resists the urge to beat his head into the ground at the slickness he can feel between his thighs, a slickness he has a terrible suspicion isn’t from some fun dream he can’t remember. He lifts his head to take a quick look around camp and finds Geralt absent, which fills him with a quick swell of annoyed anxiety at the thought that he’s been ditched again until he realizes Roach is still standing in place grazing happily on a patch of clover. Coast clear, a quick reach between his legs confirms his suspicions when his fingertips come back red.
“Fuckity fucking fuck,” Jaskier hisses under his breath, slamming his head back into the ground. Perfect. Absolutely fucking perfect. Just what he fucking needs when he’s trying to convince Geralt to stop trying to get rid of him. He winces at a sharp stab in his pelvis and lifts the cover of his bedroll to glare at his own body. “Fuck you.”
(Jaskier bleeds every month) (Geralt proves surprisingly helpful with this)

Summary
“I told you to stay with-” he begins. The rest of the words dry up in his throat when he finds that the curse hadn’t entirely missed, after all. Jaskier is leaning heavily against a tree, clutching his chest with the arm he’s not using to support himself.
“Geralt?” Jaskier says. There’s a tremor to his voice that sets Geralt’s teeth on edge. Everything in him screams that it’s fundamentally wrong for Jaskier to sound like this. Jaskier shouldn’t be afraid. He shouldn’t be hurting.
“He cursed you,” Geralt says, even as a part of him hopes that he’s wrong.
“No, really,” Jaskier says. He slides down the tree a little as he speaks. “Here I thought this was normal.”

Jaskier gets cursed: either "the one he loves" returns his feelings, and kisses him, or he dies painfully.
Geralt just wants to know why Jaskier won't tell him who he's in love with.Series
