Kaveh swallowed, glued to the delicate shape of small, purple and very real fairy wings that now so casually sat on her spine. Just then they fluttered, as if sensing the weight of his gaze. Really. As if they always were here, right in the middle, light and awfully fitting on her soft skin. "How is that even possible?"
Nilou's head turned to the side, exposing more of her slender neck. Here, on the floor of her room backstage of Zubayr theater with her dress fully open on her back, giving him the needed freedom of examining this new part of her, she never looked more like a real mythical being. "I'm not sure. Maybe that's just how fairy tales work."
"And you… You can feel them? Like an actual part of you?"
It took her a moment to speak again, brows knitted together in deep thought. "I… I don't know. I didn't really— You know, it's not like I can touch them."
Nilou returns from Simulanka. The wings return with her.
Kaveh has a crisis.

“Maybe I do.” Kaveh turns his face to her neck, his nose tracing up her skin. When he speaks next, the brush of his lips against her throat makes Nilou shiver. “Or maybe I want us to get caught. For everyone in Sumeru City to learn that you’re mine.”

Summary
Brant and Phoebe meet at the Rinascita Carnival. A romance develops as they grow to understand one another. Brant helps Phoebe to let go and live her life how she chooses, and in turn Phoebe challenges Brant to let go of his ego for the sake of those he loves.
If I’m going to be completely honest, I’m just high key projecting onto Phoebe because I relate to her and love Brant XD. I’ve done a bit of creative writing in the past, so I thought I’d try my hand at fanfic.
