Jungkook knows he shouldn't get his hopes up. Unrequited love is common, after all. Besides, there are much more important things he should be focusing on. Like his singing, and what college he's planning on going to. So what if Jimin's smile is still beautiful, and his laugh is still contagious? So what if he chased away the darkness in Jungkook's heart?
Jungkook is different.
Jimin never noticed it through Skype, but he can see the subtle changes now. Jungkook is angrier. He has his headphones in most of the time, blocking out the world... and the sound of Jimin's voice. Jungkook also likes to sing. He'll sing anywhere and anything, and Jimin finds it endearing. But Jimin can't let himself look too hard for too long, because Jimin has a boyfriend now. So what if Jungkook's eyes still made his heart skip? So what if the sound of Jungkook's voice made the tips of his ears redden?
This summer was either going to bring them closer together... or tear them apart.
