Not in the traditional sense, mind you— it wasn’t as if he was being starved or something like that, but more akin to a deep seeded want— a need long neglected — that would find welling up within himself at times. That heavy sensation in the back of his throat that he just couldn’t swallow down for some reason, the hollow ache in his chest, bruised and sore from a nonexistent wound.
