Steve Harrington has liked Eddie Munson for quite some time. Eddie Munson thinks "King Steve" is hot...but why tf would he ever admit it? When their paths cross through Dustin Henderson in the fall of 1985, things snowball until they are forced to face their feelings and save the world.
Reimagining of season 4 (and prior) because I miss Eddie. Eventually follows season 4-ish. I take some liberties: first and foremost, Eddie doesn't die because he deserves better.

She types a simple new outfit came in🩷 and hits send. Seonghwa should be walking home from campus now anyway. She’ll be home within the next half hour, which means Hongjoong should have time to set up everything else she wants. She tosses her phone on the bed and ignores the way it buzzes. She pushes open the mirrored door of their closet and pushes past Seonghwa’s coats to the box of toys left in the back of the closet.

Summary
Hongjoong was a watcher.
He liked to watch movies and tv shows. He could spend hours by his computer, swallowing media as if it was sustenance. He could laugh, and cry and feel anger with the characters as they struggled through made up scenarios.
He liked to watch people. He would sit in cafe’s, watching the people walking by. He would gaze at the couples sitting at tables, making up his own theories about their conversations. Sometimes, one was proposing to the other, sometimes they were breaking up. Sometimes it was just a normal date, bland as it was.
Hongjoong loved to watch.
Most of all, he liked to watch Park Seonghwa.

“Hongjoong-ah.” Seonghwa interrupts again, louder this time. Hongjoong’s mouth snaps shut like a bear trap, effectively silenced by the dark, incredulous gaze Seonghwa has him pinned under. “What exactly are you offering?”
Hongjoong swallows thickly. Stupid stupid stupid stupid- “Whatever you would need me for.”
Seonghwa blinks. “You do realize that what my body wants… is to breed, right?”

Hongjoong would do anything for Seonghwa and the Inner Council of the Society for Greater Knowledge. They welcomed him into their ranks with opened arms, offering friendship and giving Hongjoong a new purpose in life. He didn't think twice about agreeing to participating in a sex ritual to open a gate to an alternative universe. It was the least he could do to repay them for their kindness.
But Seonghwa and the others didn't tell him everything, and Hongjoong was about to find out that he's in over his head.
