It was probably the black pit for bastards and deceivers, he thought. The gods were punishing him for supplanting Ser Vaemond and his trueborn Velaryon cousins in the line of succession, even though he knew in his heart that he was not the blood of Ser Laenor. In his delirium, he called for his mother. He was burning in fires, but his mother would not let him. Not if she could hear him. She would fly on Syrax and save him, and save Arrax as well, and perhaps even the gods could not stop her.
Sometimes lucidity came back, and he recollected that he was in Storm's End, and Arrax was dead.

Summary
For supposedly being one of the finest Knowers in decades, Tally often felt like she knew very little.
