Actually haven't come across Ghost!MCS fics until now. I admire how in-character he was, and all the thoughts the readers were privy to while being shown all the people who've cares for MCS coping with their grief and gradually moving forward again. I think it's a likeable irony that I find MCS so much more lively after death than when he had been alive. Kudos to the writer, so many kudos to you!!
Of course, getting to see some of my favourite characters being able to sense the presence of MCS's spirit to varying degrees was a really great touch. In a way, it inspires that miniscule, secret hope that there truly is something after death. Xia Jiang was wrong when he'd staunchly claimed that there was nothing once you'd die. That's not entirely true.
Anyways, of course JY the obstinate thing, stews in his despair. You're worse than a water buffalo, Xiao Jingyan! At least live to witness the kingdom flourish for many years! Or something. ;0;tl;dr this fic deserves a grand applause. It is wonderfully written and my heart cannot ever hope to recover from all the twisting and angst-beatings its (gratefully) received. Good job.
