It wasn’t exactly the reaction Castiel had been hoping for. Something along the lines of, Yes, Cas, of course I want you to bear my children would have been more reassuring. “Yes, eggs,” he responded.
“Like, the kind you lay?” Dean asked. “Like a chicken?”
“I’m not a chicken,” Castiel responded. “But yes, I would lay them. What else does one do with eggs, Dean?”
One morning over breakfast, Castiel comes to Dean with a question about the next stage of their relationship, setting off a series of events that Dean could never have anticipated.

Prompt:
God brings Castiel back at the end of Swan Song, but as a human (which means that Cas doesn't bring Bobby back to life). Dean's caught up in his own mourning, so he barely notices Castiel starting to get into women, men, etc. At first, he thinks it's just some kind of post-angel rebellion, but Castiel's behavior gets more erratic and dangerous (perhaps leading to something bad happening on a hunt), Dean realizes he's getting into drugs, etc...
So, with visions of 2014!Cas in his head, Dean decides that Castiel can't handle not having any rules in place, so he decides to make some and enforce them. Cue: "Castiel wakes up one day to discover that he's wearing a cock cage, and Dean has the key."
I would like Castiel to be a bit devious and pissy and testy (but completely unwilling to leave Dean). But he learns to love being Dean's sub/being chaste, and Dean ends up getting what he needs, too.

Cas takes this all very much in stride - just another thing to learn about being human. Dean and Sam are more embarrassed for him than he is for himself.
