Summary
“This isn’t about sex,” Fletcher said, and how in hell did he always know what Warren was thinking? “It’s about two things that I think you in particular will appreciate.” He stood from his seat gracefully, taking his glass of champagne with him. Circling behind the sofa and looking down at Warren with dark eyes he said, “It’s about discipline. And–” His smile crept back onto his face, “–It’s about fun. How does that sound?”
AKA Cutter and Kepler used to have a particular dynamic going on. Much later, after the dust settles, Kepler tries to chase that feeling again with Jacobi

Summary
Fireworks. That was how it felt when their fingers brushed. Jacobi had spent so much of the past year scolding his racing heart; he’s your boss for god’s sake (no, don’t think about how hot that is, behave, Daniel). It couldn’t work out, and he shouldn’t try. But after tonight…Jacobi may not have had a lot of relationship success in the past, but there was no way he was mistaking the way Kepler looked at him.
They had watched the fireworks on the hood of Kepler’s car, the weather just cold enough so that Jacobi could exaggerate a shiver and huddle up next to him. And Kepler had said 'rule number eight' for what must’ve been the tenth time that night, but he wrapped a warm arm around Jacobi all the same.
AKA Kepler takes Jacobi home after their fireworks anniversary.

Summary
ABSTRACT
Romulans and Vulcans are ostensibly separate species, despite their populations only diverging 2000 years (about 10 Vulcanoid generations) ago. How they speciated so quickly is an ongoing mystery to evolutionary biologists. This article summarizes popular theories for this phenomenon: eugenics, a bottleneck event, the founder effect, a time anomaly, and hybridization. Though the final two theories are not supported by much evidence, they explain the extreme speed speciation in a way that the other, more common theories do not. Ultimately, we can make no further progress on proving or disproving any of these theories until we have the cooperation of the Romulan government.

Summary
Spock looked up and met his eyes. The look in them was familiar to him— a hint of vulnerability, but not uncertainty. Spock knew well what his lover would ask for, but he could not presume in matters such as this. There were other things that they often did to unwind after a hard day— chess, sparring, and more— but not at this time of night, and not when the look in Kirk’s eyes was just so.
Kirk bent and pressed a kiss to Spock’s temple, shooting him a small, abashed smile— still self-conscious about this need even after all this time— before slowly, beautifully sinking to his knees.
And there it was, the request.
AKA Spock helps Kirk unwind after a long day through loving domination
