Summary
It's Taxian-Jun's day, but Mo-Zongshi went and got them sick, and on market day no less! While Chu Wanning heads out to restock their supplies, Taxian-Jun can do little more than rest on the bed and dig through his counterpart's memories to find out what, specifically, he needs to be angry about. Only, he hasn't really done this before, and he winds up digging too far back and making a startling discovery.
For 2haaction, prompt was "post-canon taxian-jun reacting to finding out/recovering mo ran's memory of chu wanning calling himself ugly. can be funny or angsty." I went with funny.

Taxian-jun watches him intently. He’s feeling possessive over his Chu Wanning, but he’s also curious. When Huaizui sits down again he asks, “How did you know to do that?”
“I had a son who’d kick his blankets off,” Huaizui says mournfully. “He reminds me of him.”
“Had?”
Huaizui doesn’t look at Taxian-jun or A-Ning. He hangs his head and nods.
“Is he dead?”
Huaizui remains silent, letting Taxian-jun draw his own conclusions.
After a moment Taxian-jun says, “My only family died too. My Shi-ge. He said he’d be my family when no one else would…”
Taxian-jun pulls Chu Wanning in closer. As though to answer a question Huaizui did not ask, he mutters to Chu Wanning, “You’re just my prisoner.”

Chu Wanning, contrary to popular belief, is not frigid.
Sure, Chu Wanning is hard to talk to even when you’ve sat in his classes for a whole semester. Sure, Chu Wanning doesn’t give out compliments or praises like some of the other professors do, or nearly the same number of As. Sure, Chu Wanning seems unkind, seems uncaring, seems too aloof to get along with even his colleagues, let alone his students. Completely unlike his omega status.
(Ugly for an omega, too, he thinks, with his too-severe gaze and abject lack of any softness, but no one’s been brave enough to say it to his face.)
But Chu Wanning is not frigid.
