Summary
Indelible; Impossible to erase or forget.
Doctor Captain Ryland Grace, Saviour of the sun, and thus the earth.
Selfishly, she was both relieved and disappointed that he had chosen to save the friend he made in space, instead of return to his home.
Some nights, she would wake in terror at the thought of having to face him after all these years, her mouth full of cotton and her head pounding. The same man that she had sent lightyears away, not a grey hair on his head.
She had atoned for her crimes, she believed. She would atone for years to come, even after death, and the thought brought her a painful comfort, like a bruise she pressed on. The tattoo that marked her throat would make sure to remind her of her crimes, of her fate as an inevitable scapegoat.
Yet, she did not think she could ever fully atone in the eyes of Ryland Grace. And she would not blame him. She tells herself she does not need his forgiveness.
or; Eva Stratt watches the Hail Mary come home as a fugitive that has been 'shunned' from society.

Summary
Professor Eva Stratt was the head of the History department. She was fearsome, intimidating, and in Grace’s opinion, she was also hot as fuck.
She also had a thing for embarrassing him in front of the entire class, which had the unfortunate side effect of giving him a hard-on at 9:45 every Tuesday.
He’d just clicked “submit” on the last assignment for this class. While he was glad the suffering was over, a part of him he wouldn’t read too much into was disappointed this was the last he'd see of Professor Stratt.
That was until she’d called him into her office over a plagiarism concern.
Office hours were never like this in the syllabus.

Summary
Eva Stratt has been praying to the Lord her whole life. It only took becoming the Director of the Project Hail Mary for him to listen to her.
In which Eva prays for Grace, the virtue and gets a lot more than she bargained for.
'Eva Stratt was not asking for Grace, her Grace. Lead scientist, second of command, wearer of silly cardigans, lover of foxes - She shook the thought from her head. The spiritual gift of Grace, not literally Doctor Ryland Grace'.
