He had always heard about the Games. He had watched the Games ever since he was three years old, deemed old enough for the blood and violence of the real world. He had trained for the Games ever since he was eight, feeling confident in his chances to bring honour to his name and district.
He realised too late that he didn’t really know the Games until he was thrust into them.

Summary
The past is sometimes hard to forget; it often makes us what we are today. For Wooyoung, it's a painful reminder of his own weakness. For San it's an affirmation of the monster that he truly is.
