    He chuckles, the sound is richer than his usual quiet tone which somehow solaces her.

    There’s silence for a moment until she notices his eyebrow is still smudged with blood tracing a string of dark red onto the delicate skin of his eyelid.

    She reaches for the handkerchief she keeps in her jacket pocket for situations that require a quick fix, and gently starts wiping the blood away.
