Summary
Henry is a cemetery caretaker in a little town who spends his days listening to the stories of mourners and chatting with the cemetery staff. His job is to open and close the gates, and tend to the needs of everyone that comes by, having just lost a loved one – this usually means a listening ear and a pot of Earl Grey. In the night, he's working on his book of poems, something he's been trying to finish for three years. He sees inspiration in everything, and is very content with his life.
Alex is the son of recently deceased Ellen Claremont, stumbling into the cemetery every given chance, usually driving away from responsibilities. He doesn't want to face the loss – but he's ought to.
When their paths collide, they must navigate through harsh truths they see in each other's lives no one had dared to tell them before. Is this a love story, or they are destined to stir up things in one another they can't seem to get settled?
