"Jay, why's the floor so dirty?"
Jay freezes once he hears the sound of his mom's voice. If she learns that he brought home a dog, she'll kill him. If she learns that he brought home a guy, he'll kill himself.
The man – puppy, he's a puppy now – whimpers miserably once he picks up on Jay's distress, ears flat to his head, and attempts to climb the bathtub to give his face comforting licks.
Or:
Jay picks up a weird-looking puppy from the trashcans behind a barbecue restaurant. It's not a real puppy.

He was gorgeous.
Jay couldn't take his eyes off the boy. The boy in question was across the pub, wiping down glasses. Jay's eyes roamed his features. Black hair that fell over his eyes, skin pale under the neon lights. lips a pretty pink, eyes dark with black eyeliner along his waterline. Jay could see the black nail polish on his finger, chipped. He was tall towering over everyone, yet he looked so small, hunched into himself looking around warily. Though his face was void of any emotion.
Jay could feel Jungwon nudging him to pay attention, but he couldn't take his eyes off the boy.
He was beautiful.
Jay could feel his heart skip a beat, jumping in his throat when the boy's eyes fell on him. The boy blinked at him, expression blank. Jay felt the grin rise on his face, slow and dark. he raised his hand up and waved. Jay watched in amusement as the boys eyes widened, looking away quickly. Jay's eyes narrowed, and the grin slid off his face, heart beating rapidly in his chest.
Jay felt the want bubbling in his chest, conversation with their co-worker forgotten. His focus on the boy at the bar. Jay wanted him. And if he wanted him, he would get him.
