Summary
A forgotten legend about a powerful God who owned the land on which their village was built, his eyes were bright red in the dark and he had claws instead of human hands. Furious by human arrogance, he cursed the village for stealing what was sacred soil and laughed at their suffering; according to the old man, this happened over two hundred years ago and the only solution found by the council at the time was to submit to the God ㅡ worship him. That was when the sacrifices started.
Right before Jiang Cheng turns twenty, an old tradition comes back to life, one that would mean the end of his life for everyone else's benefit. While running away from his destiny is the only thing on Jiang Cheng's mind, he can't deny the strange connection that starts to take form when the God decides to get familiar with his prey.
