Summary
Ponyboy and Curly knows that what they have is not normal compared to every other friendship in Tulsa.
Fighting in rumbles together they aren't allowed to be at, sharing cigarettes on rooftops, clinging to each other like the smoke that clings onto Curly's jacket. It's all friendly, right?
Curly's almost scared that he's not good enough for Ponyboy, yet he's too scared to stop sharing his last cigarettes with the boy whose eyes reminded him of glittering emeralds and auburn hair that reminded him of the leaves in fall.
