Unlike traditional KPOP groups where members stay together indefinitely, NCT Dream follows a graduation system where members "graduate" from the group once they reach a certain age. And Mark Lee, their leader, was the first to go!

Summary
Haechan was an idol. He was a part of NCT. He was called the “sunshine, full sun.” But to himself, Haechan felt alone. He sometimes wonders if the members even remember his real name. They haven’t called out to him in a while, maybe months, perhaps years. In 2021, the members had called him annoying, in an affectionate way, if what the fans say counts.
He had stopped then, spreading his love off stage.
The members seemed to like it better anyway.
Donghyuck became reserved then, more secluded from himself. The shell of himself he carries makes him tolerable.
The members liked it. The surface of him was all they could handle to care for.
The distance between him and the rest grew. The members didn’t know it, but he did. He hadn’t felt like Donghyuck in many years. But he complied because they showed genuine care for him for a while.
Whatever made them like him more.
