L’appel du Vide. The Call of the Void.
Staring down from the top of the house into the dark streets, she is suddenly struck with that old proverb. Insidiously, Judas's voice urges her to take that step forward and feel the freedom that falling would give. It nearly makes her laugh, brazen and unashamed as her toes hang off the edge of a shingle roof.
Thirteen and suicidal. The irony sat as bitter as the petrichor on her tongue. Happy birthday to me.
Sakura Haruno had everything anyone could want: loving parents, adoring teachers, a fanatic crush, and a budding career. She was happy, idling her days away at the Academy until it was time to start her life as a proper shinobi of Konohagakure. Until she is no longer Sakura Haruno. Being reincarnated isn’t a particularly endearing experience, especially when she is forced to survive in a shinobi village determined to see her dead before the age of twenty.

Law had never felt so close to tossing himself into the sea than at this moment.

Stuck in an unfamiliar time and place without his crew or any allies, Law must figure out a way back home before he permanently ruins everything he has built for himself. But Law may just find that he is the butterfly that flaps its wings, causing a tsunami that drowns the world in its wake.

Lute didn’t quite understand Valentine's Day. A day for couples, based on Saint Valentine? It’s a ridiculous concept. Especially when she’s never had a single successful romantic dalliance in her life.
But now? Sitting on the barracks roof, wine in hand, Adam at her side with his stupid smug grin and his stupid dimples and his stupid jokes.
Well, maybe she could get behind the holiday after all.
Lute is reminiscing about the holiday, and Adam drops by. It’s surprisingly nice, for a change.

Summary
The feeling of dread permeates the air, causing you to quake in place. The unnerving, terrifying sensation of pupils raking across your still body leaves you raw and seen. Primal fear takes over as hands edge closer to your face and you can’t breathe, can’t see, can’t speak- oh god you’re trapped, it’s coming for you and you won’t ever be able to escape- run, run, RUN-
You jolt awake, a scream leaving your lips as your colorful sheets cling to your barely covered torso, drenched in sweat and wrinkled beyond repair. The fearful images of the before float away from your grasp, already slipping from conscious memory the longer you become aware of reality. You can barely even remember the nightmare you had that woke you in such an ugly way. It must not have been that important.
The neighborhood is a lively place, made even better with the addition of your floral arrangements. Friends are always just around the corner and lesson could always be learned with a cup of cocoa waiting after a hard days work. It’s a wonderful place, this quaint and colorful community. You love it here.
