Summary
Mike had finally felt he was free in a sense, he didn’t have to pretend anymore and he started making an effort to hang out with Will more often to repair their friendship. It had been a while since they heard anything from Vecna, but Mike couldn’t have imagined just how worse things were gonna get, and just how precious these moments hanging out with Will would be. That he might be taking these moments with Will for granted. Mike didn’t realize how short of a time he had left with Will and how regretful he would become for not saying the words he so desperately wanted to say to Will.
Or, what if the tower scene and the final battle was rewritten in a way where actual consequences happen to the group. A story in which Mike wasn't lobotomized and dive deep into his mental health. A Mike-Centric story in which we get his POV as the story progresses. And a secret he's so desperate to keep hidden...
