    Wiley was annoyed by all the attention the track meets at his college have been getting since the new popular kid, Rhodey Roberts, joined. It's all anybody had been talking about. He found running to be a monumental waste of time. That is, until he went to a meet and saw Rhodey for the first time. Suddenly, he was very interested in track, and the blue haired athlete was all he could think about.

    Like stars. Like scars. Like the way someone looked at you when they thought you weren't paying attention.

    Andrew knows a lot of things about Jayden.

    He knows how long Jayden takes in the shower. He knows which peas he'll eat first. He knows that Jayden steals his hoodies and pretends he doesn't. He knows Jayden likes fried rice, and Jayden knows Andrew will always choose pumpkin pie.

    They're roommates. That's all.

    At least, that's what Andrew tells himself.

    For a little while, nothing is wrong.

    It doesn’t matter anyway, as he’s immediately distracted by the phone voice again. “Hello, hello? I know you’re there.” Okay. That’s ominous. But Evbo’s standing in a room with multiple mutilated corpses after getting thrown out the second floor by some overpowered freak and then talked down to by a crazy priest or something. And his shoes are like, iron-colored all of the sudden. So, definitely not the freakiest thing he’s experienced so far. This is probably that crazy priest again anyway.

    Evbo picks up the phone. “Uh…hello?”

    “Dude,” the voice says. “What took you so long to answer?” Not the priest guy then—this guy’s voice is much higher. And also sort of whiny.

    “Bro, what?” Evbo exclaims, incredulous. “Why’d you expect me to answer at all?” Evbo eyes the area around him suspiciously. This guy could be nearby. “Also, who even are you?”

    “I’m Seawatt,” the guy—Seawatt, apparently—responds, like Evbo is supposed to know who he is.

    Or, Evbo is a freelance journalist who gets a tip about the mysterious Mount Parkour Asylum and finds much more than he bargains for. Seawatt is his guide in the form of a voice over a walkie-talkie.

    The door opens. 

    Claire chokes. Ryland is standing there in blue PJ pants and an oversized PBS t-shirt. He's rubbing his eyes, which are missing his glasses, which makes it even more obvious how similar they look. When his hand falls away, Six watches him process what is standing at his door. His eyes go from Six, down to Claire, then back up to Six. 

    He laughs, high and stressed, then closes the door in their face.

    OR, Six needs help taking care of Claire after they break free from their respective jails. He decides that his younger brother Ryland Grace is the solution.
