“Can this actually wait until after the job?” Derek said with as much ferocity as he can, which apparently wasn't much because Stiles’ laughter rang through his earpiece. “The mark’s getting out of the elevator, you better be ready.”
“First off, learn how to multitask.” Stiles told him. “Second, I need two more minutes. Hold him back.”
“Can’t. He's already in the hallway. Learn how to multitask.” Derek smiled to himself when Stiles cursed.
Of course, the explosion went off at exactly the right time. Derek never thought explosions could sound smug until that very moment.

Summary
Derek looked up in surprise to note that they were taking a private jet. Dread settled into his gut like a stone.
“It has a cage, doesn’t it?” he asked quietly, and noted the subtle changes in his family members’ posture. “Is it for me?”
Cora gave him a pleading look and nodded.
“Is it because of what you’re going to tell me?” he asked, voice like gravel.
Another nod confirmed it.
Stiles.
Oh, GOD. It had to be Stiles. Derek would not lose control over anyone else in Beacon Hills and they damned well knew it.- OR -
The one where Derek has been gone for 6 months building a new life, finds out that Stiles is being assaulted by Theo, so he comes back to Beacon Hills to kick some serious ass and rescue the loudmouthed human who stole his heart.

He first noticed the Hale triplets in town one day while out shopping with his mother. They were draped all over each other at the diner and Stiles asked his mother about them. She told him they were Derek, Derrick and Deryck Hale, triplets from the Hale family who lived just outside of town. Her smile was radiant as she said they were ‘thick as thieves’ and never went anywhere without each other. She also said it was a twin thing, or a triplet thing, rather, like they had some special connection. Ever since then, Stiles has been utterly fascinated with them.
