Summary
It was only recently when it hit him, that the warm feeling bubbling in his chest whenever he looked at Toge had a name. A simple, four-lettered name that should not feel as earth-shattering as it did. It shouldn’t be able to invoke as much giddiness and fear as it did, not when he fought deadly curses on a near-daily basis without breaking so much as a sweat, but here he was.
“Tonight is the perfect time to tell him, Yuuta. You can’t just keep it bottled forever.”
“I can and will," Yuuta protested, unconvincingly.
Or; four times Yuuta tries and fails to confess to Toge, and the one time that Toge did it for him.

A slightly uneven path. Approximately 8 pounds missing from his left side. That’s all it took to mess with Toge’s center of gravity and cause him to fall face-first into the pavement.

Summary
Here though, at Jujutsu Tech, Toge was free to truly live and be the person and sorcerer he was meant to be, no longer bound by shackles that weighed him down as a child. He found others who respected and loved him for the individual he was, and had found a family where his actual family had failed to provide.
Toge found others who taught him it was okay to live.
And perhaps, he wanted to impart that sentiment to Yuuta, even if he doesn’t know how just yet.
