Summary
He reminded Barney of a peculiar girl—a book character the man recalled from his childhood. The illustrations from the copy of the novel he had at home started flooding his mind.
With Gordon's sweet freckles—so easy to miss if you weren't observant enough (Barney would never be!)—and his auburn hair braided along the sides of the bony face, Barney couldn't unsee Freeman resembling Pippi Longstocking.
A very handsome Pippi.
With a beard.
Now, he didn't remember that being in the book.
He felt his cheeks starting to burn.

Summary
Gordon often had odd ways of expressing his feelings.
Ever since first running into Barney, Gordon noticed the little things. How just a few of Barney’s front hairs would curl up when he slept weird, cracking his knuckles whenever he was nervous. Gordon thought that one was weird, he never liked the sound of cracking knuckles. Just him? Maybe. Gordon never liked sounds like that.
All of these, and more, he kept in a journal. Like a teenage girl. Gordon was embarrassed about that factor, but he cared for Barney. He wanted to write down what he noticed. Recall every detail.Bookmarked by waterstain

Summary
Experiencing physical touch through the game had always felt…different from the other sensations that would translate through the VR experience. Gordon vaguely remembers it. Back in Black Mesa, at the very beginning of his “adventure”, he’d played around with the VR, attempting to physically interact with the other npcs and marvelling at the fact that he could indeed faintly feel solid weight against his hands.
Add this to the list of things that freaked him out at first but that he never bothered to investigate. If he really was a scientist, he would be a terrible one.

Summary
Based on that line in Freeman’s Mind 2 Episode 6 where Freemind says he’ll go easy on someone he believes is having a bad trip; but what if instead of it being a random guy in the sewers, it was Barmey his epic boyfriend at Black Mesa?!
