After over 2 years of no activity I am abandoning this piece for good. I love it so very much, but I am no longer in the fandom and it feels bad to force something out with characters I'm not attached to anymore. I apologize to anyone who was still waiting patiently for an update.
Maybe, just maybe, the universe aligned to make this happen. Maybe it decided that San would make all the wrong decisions and that those wrong decisions would end up being all the right decisions. Maybe it wanted to just make his big gay heart flutter and his big gay brain twist.
Whatever it was, he didn't appreciate it. He didn't appreciate how Wooyoung's perfect nose scrunched up when he laughed. He didn't appreciate how Wooyoung's eyes looked at him with such kindness. He didn't appreciate how round Wooyoung's ass was in his leather pants.
San really didn't appreciate lying to himself.

At this, Zuko couldn’t help but feel indignant. He crossed his arms in the small space between him and Sokka, no longer thinking about the too-close contact with his study buddy.

Zuko had spent far too much of his summer dealing with an ever increasing worry about a new roommate.
Suki had warned him early enough at least, and had even gone out of her way to set him up with someone to sublet her room while she was gone for the year studying abroad, but it did nothing to quell the constant concern.
Dragons are not known for their ability to adjust easily.
Or: Dragon Zuko gets a new roommate, and totally definitely does not develop a big fat crush on him.

Summary
Since moving to Ba Sing Se, Zuko has been finding peace in places he had never even thought to look. For one, he has taken up star gazing. Here, in the city, the stars feel whole worlds away - still, each night, he thinks if he just reaches up, he might be able to touch.
He has a favourite rooftop. Of course he does.
One night, clad in black, his fingers freezing and stiff as he stretches out on the tiles, he opens his eyes to look up at the sky-
And finds a pair of familiar eyes looking back.
(OR: Sokka is way too trusting, probably, and Zuko should really rethink his morals... again. They're both addicted, both craving, and what can help if not a distraction, a little bit of pretending and an endless sky of stars?)
(OR: Can't have your sworn enemy as a lover? We've got just the solution! Become enamoured with someone who vaguely reminds you of him... we all know where this is going.)

Katara thinks that Sokka and Zuko are dating. They’re not. She proceeds to tell the entire family that they’re dating, and everyone is so happy that Sokka’s getting back out there after Yue’s death, that he decides to go along with it.
He stupidly agrees to bring Zuko along for Christmas.
OR —
Zuko, Sokka, Christmas, fake dating, and a lot of messy emotions brought back up for the both of them.
