“No!” Felix protests. Violently beating down the ice in his drink with a flimsy plastic straw. “He’s like pushing forty or whatever.” He mumbles into his cocktail, ignoring how his belly flutters, butterfly wings moving at hummingbird speed, at sharing that out loud.
Farleigh slurps loudly at his strawberry mojito, looking at Felix innocently when he jerks his narrowed eyed gaze up to his cousin. There’s an extended silence where Felix can clearly tell exactly what Farleigh is thinking and he silently wishes for Farleigh to choke on a mint leaf. “Whatever.” Felix grouses.

The way his mouth hugs them, the curl of his pink lips, the slight uptick at one corner, the sly shadow of a smile as his cheeks round ever so slightly and eyes softening as they scrunch up.
