    What the title says basically. Our relationship is too complicated to explain it just like this in text, but I will try my best.

    I want to admit that I will be fully taking advantage of the situation. I've had a crush on him since forever and plan to spend the first few weeks abroad with him for courting.     “Good news- I can definitely see ghosts.” Izuku weakly explained. “Bad news- I might’ve underestimated how pissed off the ghost is.”

    “You don’t say?” Katsuki couldn’t see the ghost, but he could see Izuku staring at a fixed spot as well and how the peeling wall paper started shuddering as the heavy feeling grew. “You’re the one who researched- how the fuck do we fight it?”

    “I-”

    The door slammed open again, blasting the ghost woman toward them. Izuku grabbed Katsuki’s arm in a tight grip, partly to make sure he stayed inside the salt circle and partly to keep himself from reeling back outside the circle himself.

    Izuku hadn’t needed to know that her skin was more translucent than the bones he could see through it. Just as scary was the newest person to come to the party- a man in all black, whose equally dark hair whipped even more ferociously.

    Through the ghost, Izuku saw the man’s eyes burn an even brighter, angrier red. Then he lost track of the plot what the ghost shrieked with a level of vitriol that had him doubled over in pain. When he could look up again, the ghost woman was gone.

    The ghost man- now armed with a scythe- still remained.

    And the Mer lunged.

    Katsuki Bakugou never expected to land a position at Yuuei—the world-renowned research and rehabilitation facility for Merfolk. His job is simple on paper: monitor tank conditions, study diet patterns, and stay out of trouble. But nothing at Yuuei is simple, especially not the elusive, intelligent Merfolk who watch more than they speak. As Katsuki settles into his new routine, he begins to uncover just how little the world understands about the creatures beneath the surface, and how one in particular seems to understand him a little too well.
