Summary
Sometimes I write thousands of words about plotlines and AUs and scene fill-ins that I will not write a full novel about. So if you want to hear about plotlines, AUs, and scene fill-ins for Bionicle, centered around our three infamous Toa teams (plus Takanuva, and especially Kopaka, my favorite), you are welcome to join in for such novelties as...
1: Tahu leaves to ask Artakha for help with Marendar. Vakama doesn't know how that led to him and his entire team suddenly becoming Toa again (3800 words).
2: Kopaka sustains a serious head injury while on a mission with Jaller, Takanuva, and Hahli. This would be bad enough news on its own, but he's also decided not to tell anyone he's lost his memory completely.
3: Jaller and Takanuva reunite as Toa for the first time and try to reckon with everything they've been through, especially the loss of Matoro.
4: After Spherus Magna, Lewa comes ingloriously home, injured and exhausted, with only one Matoran.
5: Takanuva loses the fight to his shadow self in Karda Nui, and loses himself with it. Kopaka doesn't try to stop him, but he does try to bring him home. -

Summary
You couldn't resist your curiosity. So you came down the tree.
Maybe you shouldn't have, you think now. Yes, you think that sometimes: maybe you shouldn't have come down the tree. But then what would your destiny have come to? Hiding in the forest, wondering what the Manas keep you from, wondering who waits in that wide empty land, where dark voices call you. Where dark voices call: Lewa, of the forge of Artakha.
Well. No use in dwelling now. You did come down that tree.
Scattered throughout the world, six Toa survive their situations with various levels of difficulty. An interlude about where these six Toa Mata Hagah are at, before trying to come together.Series

Summary
Onua doesn't know why he's just found Kopaka in the library of the upper level of the Archives, apparently having chosen to visit just to see the carvings there. It's uncharacteristic for his ice brother to be visiting any other Metrus, let alone this one. What he does know is that the migration from Mata Nui to Metru Nui has been difficult, for him and for all his siblings, that they must keep working towards making this city a home again, and that he'll be happy to look around the library with his brother for the day.
What he doesn't know yet, but will soon, is that an enormous, dangerous, and sentient being has been calling the Archives library her home for years, hiding from the world outside at all costs, and that she's about to chase them into the deep and dangerous levels of the Archives below on a hunt for their lives.Series

Summary
Onewa thought things would feel different after their defeat of the Visorak, but they don't. His siblings still tick him off, Vakama still makes him roll his eyes, and he's still not sure that they're what Lhikan expected them to be... which actually kind of sucks. Feeling the weight of their destiny getting closer as they approach Mata Nui, he has a tendency to lash out that his fearless leader will definitely feel the need to address. Great.

Summary
“I want to ask you something,” says Kopaka. “Something Tahu and Gali would not give me answers to. It weighs on my mind.”
“Ask me, then,” Onua answers.
“Has Mutran ever hit you?”
Onua makes his low humming noise. “Once,” he says, in that voice like the shadow of a Rahi moving through the trees.
“And what did you do?”
Onua looks up slowly. Though his vision is poor, the green of his eyes is clear as a cut gem.
“I hit him back."An AU in which Teridax finds and awakens the Toa Mata thousands of years early and distributes them among powerful Makuta as their own Toa Hagah guards. Centered around Krika and Mutran (scientists first of all, unable to resist dangerous experiments) and Kopaka and Onua (two brothers trying to decide where their loyalties lie).

Summary
The Toa Hagah come to find the Toa Mahri, to save them from the Gold-Skinned Being. Jaller doesn't remember that part, but he does remember the heat. He remembers trying to burn like his brother did.
A piece from a story about Jaller after the Gold-Skin, and after Matoro. -

Summary
Gali looked down at the being on the table at her waist. There was a knife nearby. Her hand grabbed it. She felt hot, and then cold. She didn't think about it, because she knew that if she did, she would lose track of the place in her head where she has to go to do this. That place is so familiar now. The first time, that place was new: a riptide trying to tear her in half, bringing her somewhere she never went before.
A short story in my Toa Mata Hagah AU about how Gali (a floodtide trying to drown everything except the flame beside her) got to be where she is when Kopaka finds her, and how Antroz (an amalgam of his own hatred and despair, hiding behind self-importance) pushed her there.

Summary
A portcullis rises on the other side of the arena, and Kopaka's eyes flicker down to it. Even before they step forward, his mask shows him two beings back there, behind the wall. He sees one grab the other briefly, pulling them together and touching the other's mask. Then they release and come forward.
And just like that, he sees his brother and sister for the first time.An AU in which Teridax finds and awakens the Toa Mata thousands of years early and distributes them among powerful Makuta as their own Toa Hagah guards. Centered around Krika (a coward and a fighter at the same time, used to his own jealous isolation) and Toa Mata Hagah Kopaka (a stubborn and powerful creature of legend, out of place in the world and searching for his siblings).

Summary
Those short sentences are all they speak of the Toa Mata at that time and, what's more, all they bother to think of them. They don't much care. They were not, then, enemies of the Great Spirit. And Kopaka, Tahu, Gali, Lewa, Onua, and Pohatu – the names meant nothing to them.
But they would.
That's how the stories go, right? That's what they're about. Toa.
Krika will watch it happen. He does not intend, at the time, to be a part of the story.
The rope of his destiny, however, is already closing around his white throat. An AU in which Teridax finds and awakens the Toa Mata thousands of years early and distributes them among powerful Makuta as their own Toa Hagah guards. Centered around Krika (a coward and a fighter at the same time, used to his own jealous isolation) and Toa Mata Hagah Kopaka (a stubborn and powerful creature of legend, out of place in the world and searching for his siblings).
