Summary
Hawkins, 1987. Four years have passed since that tragic November 6th, 1983, and the world seems to have forgotten William Byers. Everyone, except Mike Wheeler. As the weight of an unfillable absence consumes him, a military interception by Murray Bauman reignites an impossible hope: a mysterious figure is haunting the perimeter of the base within the Upside Down.

Summary
There is something akin to desperation in Will's eyes as Mike refuses to break eye contact. He isn’t sure where all this bravery is coming from, but it’s about time.
Mike, because he’s stupid, looks down at Will’s lip, and makes note of how they part, inhaling quickly. He snaps his gaze back up as the next lyrics ring in his ears and to his absolute horror, Will’s lips move ever so slightly, mouthing the lyrics and reshaping Mike's world. It’s barely even noticeable, the kind of mouthing where your jaw moves up and down ever so slightly, making space for your tongue to do all the work.
And when I grow older
I will be there at your side to remind you
How I still love you

Mike is happy to help, but Will turns out to be nothing like his romantic novels.Or: Mike signs up for a tutoring program in his high school to get some extra credit. What a surprise it is when he gets to tutor a boy he’s had a crush on since freshman year.

Summary

A powerful flirtation begins, one that envelops both of them instantly - like a spell.
It becomes something neither of them could have predicted.

How college heartbreaker, Mike Wheeler, falls in love with inexperienced Will Byers, and subsequently himself in the process.
“Mike, I can’t do this, you have to talk to me. This hurts too much.” Will almost shook him, “What’s wrong? Why are you so upset?”
Mike didn’t respond. Will pulled Mike’s face close to his.
“Why don’t you want what’s right in front of you?”
Mike closed his eyes and tears spilled down his cheeks and over Will’s hands.
